Awana is an international, Bible-centered children's ministry and youth ministry providing local churches with weekly clubs, programs and training. Our goal is to equip churches and parents worldwide to raise spiritual champions who know, love and serve Christ using integrated programs for ages 2 to 18, resources for Bible-based parenting and discipleship, child and family evangelism and specialized volunteer training. (Learn about the prayer, vision, mission and values of Awana.) The acronym Awana comes from the first letters of Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed as taken from 2 Timothy 2:15. Today, nearly 12,000 U.S. churches run Awana with programs in all 50 states. Awana can also be found in over 4,300 churches in 104 other countries and six continents
